Serve with the Next Steps Team to be a force for good within our church family and help new people feel seen, welcome, and loved.

All roles require church membership, background screening, and a volunteer application.

Sundays

Baptism Experience

(Gallatin and Hendersonville, arrival time is 30 minutes prior to scheduled service)

  • Baptism Check-in: Greet and check people in as they arrive for baptism.
  • Baptism Host: Ensure each person has the items they need, know what to do, and where to go while they are prepping for their baptism.
  • Baptism Laundry: Pick up laundry after the last baptism and take it home to wash, dry, fold, and return the items to campus during the week.

Next Steps Area

(Gallatin and Hendersonville, at the end of the sermon)

  • Decision Counselors: Be available to pray with people and walk them through their next step, whether it’s a salvation decision, repentance, etc. Be able to identify and suggest next steps for each person.

Starting Point Set Up/Tear Down

(Hendersonville, arrival time is 7:15AM)

  • Preparing the room and needed items for Starting Point, greeting guests as they arrive, AND/OR putting items away after the session concludes.

During The Week

New Here

  • New Here Follow-Up Phone Calls: Make phone calls to new guests on Mondays.
  • New Here Card Team: Meet at Hendersonville on Wednesdays at 1:30PM to write cards to new guests.

Baptisms

  • Baptism Laundry: Come to campus on Mondays to wash, dry, and fold laundry from Sunday’s baptisms.
  • Baptism Decision Phone Calls: Call those who have made a salvation decision or asked to be contacted regarding baptism. Typically Monday or Tuesday.
